Senior research scientist with a research focus in physical optics, laser beam shaping, optical microscopy and related experimental/computational techniques.

Previous work:
Development of advanced optical systems for

  1. holographic imaging of spectral phase of plasmonic resonance in gold nanoparticles
  2. novel beam shaping of Total Internal Reflection (TIR) illumination
  3. Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence – Structured Illumination Microscopy (TIRF-SIM)

Development of simulation techniques for

  1. physical optical propagation modeling of advanced beam shaping systems
  2. TIRF-SIM imaging of clathrin-coated structures on plasma membrane

He is currently starting a new research group in collaboration with Dr. Hümbet Nasibli @TÜBİTAK UME.
